Dennis O'Brien

“Real men hug their best friends in the middle of Dorchester. If anyone has a problem with it they can take it up with us.” Always taking the opportunity to express your love to your friends and family with words, kisses, and hugs is a lesson Dennis O’Brien learned from his mother growing up. He grew up in the area, although he hopped from neighborhood to neighborhood throughout his childhood. He married his high school sweetheart and shortly after had his two children, Dennis Jr. and Megan. He really enjoys his kids as adults, and even worked with his son for a while.  As the property manager at St. Paul, he takes care of upkeep and routine maintenance. He has a background in aero tech, robotics tech, and equipment maintenance. When he is not helping to make St. Paul run smoothly, he spends his time playing basketball, riffing on the guitar, eating pizza or Chinese, hanging out at his summer lake house, or exploring Castle Island.  Most recently, he and his wife have taken to wandering cemeteries for hours looking for lost graves (findagrave.com). He often thinks of questions about evolution, where everything came from, and the enormity of the world.  It is no wonder then, that his hero is Neil deGrasse Tyson, an American astrophysicist and cosmologist. You can find Dennis at St. Paul bright and early, sometimes arriving even before the sun, and almost always with a cup of Dunkin Donuts regular coffee.
