OWL (OUR WHOLE LIVES) is a comprehensive sexuality education class for eighth graders. The program equips teens with accurate, age-appropriate information and skills to help them lead sexually healthy, positive, and responsible lives. Grounded in a holistic view of sexuality, OWL addresses a wide range of topics including body image, relationships, social media/Internet, sexual orientation, gender identity, sexually transmitted infections, birth control and cultural influences on sexuality. Through engaging activities and discussions, OWL helps teens to clarify their own values and to build their interpersonal skills. Our Whole Lives is used nationwide in a variety of community settings including schools, youth-serving agencies, and faith-based communities.

Few topics are so charged with importance and hold more fundamental meaning to human beings of any age than that of our ever-evolving human sexuality. We believe that knowledge and information are significant allies in the life-task of making good choices for ourselves and others, which is one of the reasons why our church has opted to invest significant time and energy, as well as financial resources in training a team of caring adults. This team is prepared to offer the OWL comprehensive sexuality education curriculum, within our congregation and community.
