“I touched Al Gore in New Hampshire after eating pie.” Lyssa Bayne is anything but uninteresting and can provide the stories to prove it. She’s broken two bones, played hockey, lived the exotic life of nannying on Nantucket, spent her undergraduate years trying to learn Russian (she remembers part of a children’s poem), just completed her fourth trip to London, is a coxswain and has a 5th grade math award hanging in her bathroom. She is working towards her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Williams James College with a placement at two public schools and also works part time at Tufts Medical Center in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics Research. Eventually, she would like to work with veterans and their families. She feels closest to God at communion, and particularly enjoys the time for prayer that follows. On Sundays, you can typically find her comfortably sitting in the back right of the sanctuary, providing delicious scones at coffee hour, making announcements about Faith and Brews or in a Godly Play classroom. When you find her, be sure to ask her about her biblical justification on why she threw apples at Andy Zieffler as a young girl.
