“I’ve realized how important it [faith] is to hang on to, and it helps when you have friends who understand.” As one of our oldest members, Louise Johnson has a deep sense of how relationships and faith connect at St. Paul, as she met her closest friends here. Over the years she’s favored singing hymns and getting to know the different pastors. She has fond memories of her early involvement in Luther League, Swedish dancing, and bowling, at which she met her late husband, Walter. They were married 65 years ago and moved to Winchester into the home she currently lives in. She looks around her home and sees a story in everything. She thinks a lot about where she is in the aging process and finds love in her family, especially her children and her grandchildren. While she is unable to attend church, she would love to receive visitors. You’d quickly discover her gifts for painting, sewing, and sharing stories!
