“I grew up with parents who told me I could do whatever I wanted to do.” With a degree in biomedical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Brianna works as a Validation Specialist at Vericel. She knew she wanted to be an engineer ever since she attended a summer girls engineering camp when she was just eleven years old. School has always been “her thing” and she loves working with a group of co-workers to advance skin-graft and knee cartilage technology. Brianna is smart, passionate, happy, emotion-filled, reader of sappy romances and historical nonfiction, watcher of romantic comedies, patience-seeker, loving sister, and South Jersey native. She misses being near to her family (and her mom’s cooking!) but is happy to be settling in Boston. Exploring the city (the public garden is a favorite spot) and playing on an intramural bocce league are just a few ways she enjoys spending her time. Brianna has quickly found St. Paul to be a place where she finds comfort and welcome, and is particularly drawn to how the congregation faces each other during the prayers of the people, the abundance of children that meet at the front steps during “children’s time,” and having the Gospel proclaimed in the midst of the congregation. Next time you see Brianna be sure to ask her about her favorite Boston ice cream spots.
