“I see God as a tall beautiful lady with earrings because everyone thinks God is a boy.” Annika is articulate, strong, active and self described as “creative and awesome.” She loves being on her soccer team and feels passionately that women’s sports should receive more recognition. She finds love from her family and pets and despite sometimes feeling outnumbered by her two brothers (Kai and Luke) she likes always having someone to play with. She likes math and reading, ice cream, giraffes, the hymn “Here I Am, Lord”, “Fight Song” by Rachel Platten, and Christmas because they go to see family in Hawaii every other year. She describes St. Paul as a place that includes everybody like family and has really great snacks. She particularly enjoys learning lessons and the games related to them in Sunday School but wishes that St. Paul had a playground. You can often find Annika as an usher – a job she loves because she “gets to welcome and see everyone come into church.”
